- The Slater Center (co-owner with husband Gerry McGraw) — Rhode Island's largest cannabis dispensary
The Entrance
Liz McGraw enters a room the way old Rhode Island money enters a room it already owns: unhurried, socially fluent, aware that everyone present would like an introduction. She and husband Gerry built the Slater Center into the largest, most successful cannabis dispensary in the state, which bought her the social currency families usually need three generations to accumulate. She arrived on RHORI already established, already connected, and already sitting on information she wasn’t sure what to do with.
The Estate Appraisal
The Slater Center is the real empire, but Liz’s most consequential asset this season was a secret: she told a producer that Rulla Nehme Pontarelli’s husband Brian had a mistress, sending a fault line through the friend group that never fully closed. That decision collided with Jo-Ellen Tiberi, and the two spent an entire episode in open combat over loyalty, discretion, and who had the right to say what out loud. They made up on Block Island by the finale, but not before the season made clear that in this cast, being right and being trusted are very different currencies.
The Verdict
Liz shall be placed in The Dispensary Back Office—locked, climate-controlled, and stocked with things people desperately want access to. She is Rhode Island’s most consequential secret-keeper, a woman whose business is genuinely hers and whose instincts about when to share what she knows are still a work in progress. Her core contradiction: she built an empire on giving people exactly what they ask for, and nearly lost a friendship the one time she gave someone more than they asked for.
