Privacy Policy
Last revised
Effective 27 October 2026.
WifeLife.vip (“WifeLife”, “we”, “us”) is an independent publication about the style of the Real Housewives. This policy explains what we collect when you read, take the quiz, open an account, subscribe or write to us; who processes it for us; and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your account. When you register: username, email address and password (stored hashed), and optionally your first and last name. Your saved quiz result is kept with your account.
- The style quiz. Your answers and your resulting archetype. If you are signed in, or if you give us your email address with your result, we store the result and answers with that email address.
- The newsletter. Your email address, first name if given, and your archetype, so we can send you mail that suits it.
- Messages. When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message. We keep the message on the site and email a copy to ourselves.
- Vault Privé (paid membership, when it opens). Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep your membership status and the Stripe customer and subscription references needed to manage it.
Information collected automatically
- Reading and shopping activity. Our own analytics record events such as pages and products viewed, quiz progress and clicks on shopping links, together with a random session identifier stored in your browser (
wl_session_id) and the page that referred you. - Google Analytics. Through Google Tag Manager we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and how you arrived). Google Analytics runs according to your choices in our cookie banner.
- Security and technical logs. Our host, Cloudflare and our security plugin (Wordfence) log IP addresses, browser details and request times to keep the site available and block attacks. Cloudflare Turnstile checks sign-up, log-in and contact forms for bots.
Cookies and similar technology
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your quiz result (wl_quiz_archetype and related cookies), remember your cookie choices, measure use of the site and protect forms from bots. When you first visit, our banner (WPConsent) lets you accept, reject or choose categories, and you can change your choice at any time with “Manage Preferences”. Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in, security, your consent choice) are always set.
When you follow a shopping link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may set its own cookies to credit us with a commission. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not this one. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
How we use it
- To run your account and show you your quiz result and “Your file”.
- To send the newsletter and account emails (welcome, password reset). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in every issue.
- To answer your messages.
- To understand which pages, looks and archetypes readers care about, and to improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To manage a paid membership, once offered.
Who processes it for us
We use these service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its job.
- Our web host: runs the site and its database.
- Cloudflare: content delivery, security and bot checks (Turnstile).
- Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront): stores and serves the site’s images.
- Google (Analytics and Tag Manager): site analytics.
- Supabase: our database for quiz results, newsletter sign-ups and analytics events.
- MailerLite: the newsletter.
- MailerSend: account emails, such as welcome and password reset.
- Stripe: payments for Vault Privé, when it opens.
- Affiliate networks and retailers (Amazon Associates, Booking.com, ShareASale and others): track purchases made through our links so we can be paid a commission. We do not send them your name or email address.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the site, our readers or our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is open, newsletter details until you unsubscribe, contact messages for up to two years, and analytics events for up to 26 months. Security logs are kept for a short period set by each provider.
Your choices and rights
- Your account: update your details on your account page, or close your account there (“Close account”).
- The newsletter: unsubscribe from any issue.
- Cookies: change your choices at any time with “Manage Preferences”.
- Access, correction and deletion: write to us at the address below to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK) you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Where it is processed
WifeLife is run from the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on our providers’ standard safeguards for international transfers.
Children
WifeLife is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
