The Entrance
Angel Massie arrived in Potomac at a moment of institutional upheaval, the Grand Dame having just vacated her self-appointed throne and the power map requiring immediate redrawing. A new wife entering this ecosystem enters an ongoing territorial negotiation dressed in couture. Raised in a tight-knit, influential Baltimore family and married to former NFL player Bobby Massie, she came with real credentials and the bearing of a woman who had not spent years waiting for an invitation to this table.
The Estate Appraisal
Wanderland Outdoors, her luxury outdoor business, was the genuine asset she brought, a legitimate venture in a cast that has seen plenty of the other kind. Her Season 10 domain was survival: finding her footing among decades of alliances, leaning hardest on her friendship with fellow newcomer Keiarna Stewart while the cast decided, slowly and not always kindly, whether she belonged. She didn’t entertain; she acclimated, one uneasy dinner party at a time. It was not enough, and when offer letters went out for the next season, Angel’s never arrived.
The Verdict
Angel shall be placed in The Welcome Suite That Was Never Quite Reassigned—beautifully appointed, briefly occupied, and already being aired out for whoever comes next. She is Potomac’s most recent one-season lesson that a real business and a real Baltimore pedigree are no insurance against a single season’s chemistry. Her core contradiction: she arrived with everything the franchise claims to want and left holding a friendship instead of a contract.
