The Entrance
Amanda Cronin arrives already mid-sentence, as though the conversation started somewhere behind her and she simply walked into it. There is a £20 million house to prove she has arrived, and a therapist on speed dial to prove she knows the house is not the point. I’ve catalogued a woman who confuses candor with clarity — she says the devastating thing, then says it again in case you missed the first devastating thing. It is, I confess, occasionally riveting. It is never restful.
The Estate Appraisal
The skincare empire is real, the abode is real, and the wreckage with a certain jewelry-brand rival is, regrettably, also real and not staying buried no matter how many candles are lit over it. One does admire a self-made fortune. One admires it less when its owner treats every room like a courtroom and every guest like a hostile witness.
The Verdict
A woman opening herself to romance while refusing to close the book on old wars is not vulnerability — it’s multitasking. She is reclaiming her narrative in the loudest possible font. I shall watch with interest, and from a safe distance.
