The Entrance
Juliet Angus arrives with a bust sculpture of her own likeness somewhere in the vicinity, which tells you everything about a woman who has decided that living life on her own terms includes commissioning a permanent record of the terms. Twenty years married, a jewelry brand to her name, and a confidence I can only describe as hard-won — though hard-won confidence, I’ve noted, is the first thing to crack under London’s particular brand of scrutiny.
The Estate Appraisal
The jewelry brand is a genuine enterprise, not a vanity hobby, which earns points in a registry that has seen far too many “businesses” amount to little more than a Instagram bio line. The alliances, however, are fractured, and I suspect the fracture runs deeper than one season’s worth of drama can explain. A mother, an entrepreneur, and apparently a woman who cannot rise above the very drama she insists she wants no part of.
The Verdict
One cannot simultaneously claim to live on one’s own terms and be perpetually dragged back into everyone else’s. I shall be watching to see which version of Juliet actually wins — the sovereign or the hostage.
