The Estate Appraisal
Sutton @ The Grove—the boutique—remains her most legible asset: expensive, eclectic, slightly overwhelming, and staffed by the ambient tension of a woman who cares too much. Her domain is Southern Money transplanted to the West Coast, old Augusta manners colliding with Beverly Hills drama, and the result has always been a woman who apologizes while telling you exactly what she thinks of you. This season, she kept the apology but sharpened the tell. The difference is architectural—same exterior, reinforced load-bearing walls. She spent less time performing diplomacy for a group that was not performing it in return, and more time auditing which friendships were genuine construction versus decorative facade.
